I don't know anything about cars and will really appreciate if the car gurus could tell me the advantages and disadvantages, if any of owning the Tucson.|||I've owned Hyundai's since 1997 and have not had any of the problems, that I have had with American cars. By the way Hyundai has a 100,000 mile ten year warranty. Ask the other car dealers will they give you the same without charging you. By the way the person giving you advise probably don't know anything about cars either.|||I just bought a 2007 Hyundai Accent. Did plenty of research first. I just don't think you can go wrong with any Hyundai and their warranty is the best at 10 years/100,000 mile|||How reliable is the person who told you that? That would be your best source of information assuming that person is someone worth listening to.|||hater is always hate something.

I drive it fast and hard and do not worry if I tear it up as I only have three other cars and part ownership in another. It does not use oil, is better built then my so called American made cars (if there is such a thing as an American made car). While it has a small V6 engine, it is faster than some V8 engines (does make them mad when you out run them). The 2007 Hyundai is better built then my 2003 and I would not hesitate to buy another one and most likely will. If you like one and want to buy, do so. While some say they deprecate to quickly, remember, you didn't pay as much for it and them check other cars. My so called American car is worth very little now and has deprecated very quick, they all do no matter what kind of car.|||Here is some advise from a former Hyundai mechanic who is now a Kia mechanic. Buy a Kia! The Sportage is the same vehicle as the Tucson and costs alot less!!! Oh, it has the 10 year 100,000 mile warranty too (free).

Hyundai.com|||Last year we were in the market for a new car. Our niece's new husband was a service manager at a Hyundai dealership. They were very happy with their Hyundai car and Santa Fe SUV. So I started looking at Hyundai's and decided that the Tuscon was more suitable for us than the Santa Fe. Bought it at what I think was a very nice price. It has a lot of safety features. It has a relatively simple V6 engine. The automatic transmission is a little less advanced than some, I don't think it includes an overdrive which would be nice. But the vehicle runs strong, carries a full load without problems and delivers over 25 mpg. It has a very good factory warranty. I think we made a good choice and I would recomend it to anyone else in the market for an SUV|||Buy the Tucson with confidence, assuming of course, that it meets your needs. Change the oil, follow the maintenance schedule to the letter, and you'll have a nice clean vehicle for the next 100K. The Hyundai basher is not accurate in his statements.|||Hyundai is kickass. They've been named "The Next Toyota or Honda." I have owned 2 Hyundais and my dad has owned a Sonata since 2002 and my mom just bought the Entourage, and we LOVE them. They're very comfortable, roomy, and great on gas. They're pretty cheap but definitely don't seem that way. I would definitely at least test drive it and talk to someone at the dealership before making a call on it.|||dont listen to people who bash on hyundai he prob owns a honda obviously lol, hyundai is a good company my dad has the sonata its one of the nicest cheap cars ive been in and driven, ive been on jaguars, bmw's, mercedes and 2007 hyundai line is just as nice|||no offense, but whoever that is, you have a person who doesn't know anything about brand and a car. Hyundai Tucson is the top quality in small SUV in the world. And i think the way your friend said was that maybe he like like big and muscle car?? well if you like this small cars, then Tucson will be right for you. oh and advantage is that : small, good mileage, top quality, and reliability. Disadvantage is :small, low hp, and not enough room well hope this helps|||who says hyundais are terrible cars even these days? There are so many articles and awards for hyundai's success, and they are great great cars. I believe they have stepped up to any japanese maker's level back in 03 or 04. They are just getting better and better every year.|||If youre desperate for a car and cant afford anything else then get it and deal with the issues that its going to give you. If you have money then i wouldnt reccomend you getting it. Hyundais are known to be problematic. They claim that they arent anymore but i still see new hyundais at the junkyard. I would reccomend that you get something reliable like a Honda CRV, Toyota RAV 4, GMC Acadia, Chevy Equinox, or Pontiac Torrent
