I am going to the Cardinals game tomorrow and it starts at 7:00, so I plan to be there by 6:00. I am leaving Tucson at 3:30, however I know Phoenix has a VERY terrible rush hour. How can I get to the stadium while avoiding rush hour traffic? Give specific route numbers or road names if possible.|||Don't know any backroad ways but it would be better if you could leave Tucson before 3:30.
Traffic for the games is always a headache.|||If you don't want to take the I-10 and don't mind about an extra 30 min's:
(the 10 will take about 3 hrs+ w/ traffic included)

EDIT: all due respect, if google maps says it takes about three hours and you're leaving @ 3:30 and want to get there @ 6..that's only 2 1/2 hrs....are you flying? Or do you have the 10 cleared and ready for you when you hit the road?, because you'll have to be doing 100+ in order to get there in 2 1/2 hrs.|||By the time you reach Casa Grande traffic will be backed up, it's going to be a long uncomfortable drive so make sure you stop at the last rest stop on your way before the traffic cause you'll be hot and sticky on the road. Drive Safe too!|||You really have to go I-10 all of the way. Give yourself three hours.
