tucson: I am planning on moving there in a couple of days. Can you give me an idea about weather, people, city life etc. All information will be beneficial.|||The people are very rude to latinos in Tucson, so I hate it! And I don't mean illegals! The University is okay, but there are so many hicks throughout the town. Plus people drive big trucks, wear cowboy hats and listen to country music. Do you like that sort of thing?! Someone else said they moved from Phoenix to Tucson and would never go back to Phoenix. My opinion is the opposite - I moved from Tucson to Phoenix for work (I don't currently live in either) and I would NEVER return to Tucson, but I would return to Phoenix again.|||in tuscan , its so small city , hot ,enjoyed at lemon mountain and ofcourse if u like dancing they got one of the best dancing club i saw ,-- the name is the KEY its so nice Report Abuse |||I am a black woman and never had any problems in Tucson. The police or Border Patrol may have bothered Daniel because of the proximity to the border. But that doesn't make it right for them to harass a person. I hate arizona can you tell? Oh and dont forget ugly. And tarantulas and scorpions and rattle snakes cant forget those either.|||Tucson is arguably the nicest town in Arizona. The people there are very nice and welcoming. It麓s very hot now but you can expect snow during winter on the nearby mountains. Be careful of some of the main roads, they have what they call a suicide lane that is used for passing during rush hour. It麓s a middle lane, so avoid it until you know the local usage of it as it can be dangerous. There is a large hippie-type population also, if you are into that type of thing. And it's a college town. It's high is 117 which occured in June. It rains more here. It cools off overnight more than it does in Phoenix. Right now it is so green and beautiful from all the rain we've been getting, it hardly looks like a desert! The people are friendlier for the most part, except down by the U of A. Stay away from there if you can. Unless you like that sort of thing. The biggest adjustment I had to make when I moved from Phx to Tucson was the driving. People drive slower here. They stop for people in crosswalks. And if you're driving on Speedway, go the speed limit or you'll get a ticket. PS they got rid of the suicide lanes. you don't have to worry about those anymore.|||I'm sure you'll acclimate and be OK. It's hot, arid, dry desolate smoggy and icky, but then I don't really like Arizona. Are you sure you want to go there, and if you're sure than I'm sure you'll love it!!! Make sure your AC in you car and home always work and do you have a pool where you're moving to? And oh yeah - they drive like 90 year old people if i really wanted to insult my elders! They signal, but never turn or turn without signalling. They do that tappy tappy brake thing where if you're behind them it's a mini light show of morse code of brake lights! They slow down at green lights, and don't really differentiate between yellow and red lights. One cool thing is that outside of the school zone, no matter how old you are, you're always the youngest one there!
