I want to visit a friend who is currently studying at the University of Arizona. I don't have a car, nor much money. I'd like to know the easiest perhaps safest way to get to Tucson via public transportation.|||Spending a lot of money to fly 100 miles doesn't make sense. The least expensive way is Greyhound bus. If you choose this option purchase your ticket online at "www.greyhound.com".
As you make your reservation you will come to the "Schedules" page. Select your trip ONLY from the 7:50 am, 5:20 pm, or 9:40 pm departures.. ALL other departure times are contracted out to various Mexican based bus companies whose equipment, and drivers may not meet the same safety standards Greyhound owned equipment, and trained drivers must meet.
The trip times range from 2 to 2 1/2 hours, and the fares from $18.00 to $24.00 each way. The various shuttle companies cost roughly the same, and they will only transport you from airport to airport.|||You can fly from Phoenix to Tucson
there are also shuttles
