I have to go from SD to Tucson leaving at 9pm so I'd be driving really late. Is it safe?|||I've driven Interstate 10 many times both day and night and haven't had any problems. I'll assume you have a cell phone in case of a possible breakdown or accident, and an accident is doubtful. It's a good open road especailly at night. You can always turn off at one of the big gas stations which are always well lit for a quick snack or cup of joe. Go for it and disregard the idiot who mentioned "lady drivers."|||its never safe with a woman behind the wheels.|||Yes...of course..|||yes|||depends on the day if its monday- thursday yes if its friday-sunday no because u may find drunk drivers|||Don't pick up any hitch-hikers or run out of gas and you should be able to stay out of any horror movie situation...unless he's REALLY fast.|||i don't know if any hwy can be considered "safe" but there are safety precautions you can take in an emergency or before you leave. AAA, OnStar, and a charged cell phone are good ways to start. Get your car serviced and tuned up before you leave. Good Luck!|||my wild guess.....Yes.

I have seen severals females tractor traler's drivers make that route.from California to Texas Coastal Cities.(the gulf in the Atlantic)|||Very safe. I have driven the 10 all the way to Pensacola,Fl. several times and it is very well maintained and plenty of assistance if you need it.
Have a safe trip|||Yes, but try to use the restrooms at a store or gas station rather than the rest stops.
FYI---- Tere is a checkpoint in Yuma that has drug sniffing dogs, beware.|||Sure, I've gone between SD and Phoenix many times, also Tucson, never any problem. Just plan to get gas before your tank runs low as there are some long stretches without stations.|||I recommend that you pray, drive safe, and make sure your cell phone is fully charged. Please go during the daytime next time.
