I am apartment hunting because I am planning to move their in a couple of weeks. What areas are the best place to live?|||Will you be working or going to school? How about being close to those places. Will you be riding a bike? Check out the Tucson Bike Map to be close to a route. I know this might sound like a crazy thing to consider, but, you do not want to be driving East to school or work in the morning, or west in the evening. The sun is just too intense. (That's considering that you work a day job.) The supermarket answer you previously received might be good advise. Tucson traffic may npt be as bad as some larger cities, but it is definitely time consuming. They don't have express routes across town. Try to find an area where you can be close to where you'll need to go. You'll save fuel and time for convenience sake.|||North East side. It is very lush compared to other parts, safer than other parts and it's the part of town that still has character. We live in Marana now (still known as NW Tucson, but it's actually a different town), and we wish we still lived on the east side. But if I had a second choice, it would be Marana.|||near the supermarket|||stay away from anything south of Broadway, and/or west stone. the university area ( as with all colleges) is expenses for small little apts, the farther north towards the foothills the more expensive it gets, same goes with going east. my first choice going north would be along river road. 2nd choice going east is wilmot. these are about as close to the city center as i would suggest. the father out you go the nicer it is, but then you add up driving time
